Incisu Üzüm

After studying Bachelor in Classical Archaeology in Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, Istanbul, I attended archaeological excavations such as Smyrna and Pergamon. I studied at the University of Bonn as an Erasmus exchange student. I finished my Master's at the University of Maastricht in Arts and Heritage: Policy, Management and Education. I did my internship in Museum Rotterdam and wrote my masters thesis about the museum's community practice Authentic Rotterdam Heritage.

She has (co)curated many exhibitions, with a variety of objects, ofen a mix of ‘high’ and ‘low’ culture and with a strong input of human stories and a focus on difcult and uneasy subjects. She has presented and written about city museums, practices and dilemma’s of curating and (contemporary) collecting, prostitution, Amsterdam’s connection to slavery as well as protest movements. Marlen Mouliou is a full-time Lecturer in Museology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Faculty of History and Archaeology) and Scientifc Co-ordinator of the Postgraduate Programme in Museums Studies, NKUA. Since 2016, she has been Member of the Panel of Judges for the European Museum of the Year Award and Vice-Chair of the European Academic Heritage Network (UNIVERSEUM).
